Roomie is an app that helps college students and recent graduates find roommates based on their age, budget, and location. Starting with user research, we wanted to first distinguish the major issues. The problems users found were that the overall app lacked intuitive design and the current branding did not attract them to continue using the app. Through wireframe annotations, user testing and user personas, a prototype was created that is both fun and intuitive. A playful color palette and friendly identity help Roomie to be perceived as trustworthy by their intended users.
